I'm sorry, but the experience was a complete waste of everyone's time. The rep who came to my home to address my broken garage door opener insisted that I needed a 1hp opener to operate my 9-ft wide lightweight uninsulated single car garage door. For 25 years 1/2hp openers have easily operated both my garage doors. He said they don't even make 1/2hp openers anymore, which is total BS because if you look on Lowe's or Home Depot you will see hundreds of them. He told me I needed to replace my springs because they might break and fly through the back wall of my garage. He said one lady's broke and went through the drywall and wound up on her dining room table. Extremely unlikely since the springs are firmly anchored on both ends. He then quoted me a price of around $3,400 which is right at 10 times as much as I finally arranged with Home Depot for a 1/2hp opener plus installation, including tax.

I chose Precision Garage Door of Austin because they had a very high satisfaction rating . I had used them once before when I thought I had a problem, but it turned out to be a minor issue that the technician quickly diagnosed and fixed. The service was fast friendly and courteous. So this time, when my main spring broke, I decided to call them again. Jeremy, the technician arrived on time. He was polite and explained what service he recommended based on his inspection. Of course the springs needed replacement, but he also pointed out that my cables were beginning to fray, so I decided to have those replaced as well. He gave me several options on what to repair and the cost for each service, Precision uses high quality products with a great warranty, While not the cheapest repair quote, I feel that they are very reasonable for what you are getting. The repairs were done in a timely manner, and now my garage door works great again. Even better than before! They also offered a senior discount which I really appreciated. When all was said and done, I was a very satisfied customer. I would recommend Precision Garage Door for your garage door servicing. I will definitely use them again if needed. Thank you!

I had used Precision Garage Door in the past, years ago. So I called them again. Daniel was very courteous & professional. He took a look at the garage equipment. Went over the parts of the garage that are still in good shape (after 20 year). And the parts that are wearing out. The motor probably doesn’t have much more time and the wheels are in bad shape, which is making the motor run harder. Since I had trouble with the garage opening and shutting last night I decided thing that it is older. I didn’t wanna take a chance and have it go out on me at a crucial time. So I replaced the motor and wheels. He said I can try to do a maintenance on it, but I just looked at the situation and felt that doing that may not work within a short time. I would need to get a new motor anyways. I felt Daniel's was very sincere and honest with his work. Along with being knowledgeable at his craft. I really liked how he explained what the problems were and why.

My old garage door had begun to make noises when I used it and I was concerned it would fail to open on day. I called Precision because of their ads and good reviews. It was easy to make an appointment on line at my convenience. Jeremy, my technician, called to let me know he was on his way. The text link I was sent let me follow his progress to the house. He listened to my concerns, asked good questions about the garage door, and spent some time evaluating the problem. He then explained what he had found and we discussed three options regarding the best solutions. He showed me the cost of each option so I could choose what I wanted to do at this time. I felt the prices quoted were reasonable for the work to be done. After I approved an option, he completed the repair immediately. The technicians carry most of the parts they might need to do a repair in their truck. After he was done, he explained the work he had completed and showed me how to work the new equipment I had purchased. I am very happy with Precision and will not hesitate to recommend them to others.
